Versatile Keratin Bonding Iron

The do-it-all keratin iron. Sized to handle full-size k-tips, baby bonds, and everything in between — cleanly and in one press.

Fuse any size K-Tip bond confidently with one iron. The Versatile Keratin Bonding Iron features a mid-size tip designed to work across all bond types without compromise. Dual heating on both sides of the iron ensures consistent heat delivery, and the Teflon-coated flat plates help you shape clean, solid bonds without keratin sticking to the surface.

Includes bonus Velcro cable wraps and zipper pouch for easy storage.

Which iron is better, standard size, versatile, or mini?

It all depends on the size of the bond you're creating. For the best installation, the tip of your iron should not be smaller than the tab you are heating.

The Versatile iron bridges the gap between our standard size and mini irons. Its mid-size flat plates are large enough to fully melt a standard k-tip tab in one press, but compact enough to give you clear visibility and control when working with smaller bonds. If you install a range of bond sizes — full k-tips, arrow bonds, baby bonds — this iron lets you move through an entire install without switching tools.

Not every install calls for the same iron. If your bond sizes are more consistently small and precise or your working exclusively with large bonds, one of our other two irons may be a better fit:

Our Digital Keratin Bonding Iron has the widest heat plates for the fastest, most even melts on full-size k-tip tabs. If your work is primarily full-size installs, the standard iron gives you the best coverage per press.

Our Precision Mini Keratin Bonding Iron offers the smallest tip for maximum control in the most delicate areas. If you specialize in ultra-fine hairline bonds and precision baby bonds, the mini gives you the best visibility and placement accuracy.

Allow iron to cool fully before storing in zipper pouch.

This is the same tool you see other extensions companies putting their brand name on and selling at a higher price. It's a nice tool and it works well. It won't last forever though. Depending on how heavily it is used and how it is cared for, you should expect it to last one to three years.

Many educators will suggest always having a backup iron available during an install.

The appliance displays temperature in °C (Celsius). This is not the same as °F (Fahrenheit). If the bond you are applying specifies a °F temperature, use the conversion chart below.

Using a higher temperature gives a faster, more thorough melt which can set up a stronger bond. Higher temperature can be harder to work with for stylists who are newer to keratin bond installation.
