Everyone Wants to Know... How Much Hair do I Need?
We can help you achieve your client's perfect look. Just use our suggestions below as you talk with your client about their desired result.
How Many Rows of Hand-Tied Wefts Do I Need
How do I convert from a different brand or type of hair extensions?

If you're converting from k-tips to hand-tied or tape-ins to micro wefts, just use the gram weight of the hair.

For example, if your client has been happy with 160 grams of 22" tape-in hair, that would be equal density to eight of our 22" hand-tied wefts (they're 20 grams each). This works when you are converting to the same length.

If you use the same gram weight but you select longer hair, there will be less density (the hair will be longer and thinner).

If your client is moving to longer hair, bump up the gram weight to maintain density.

Our wefts are sold individually so you can create perfect color blends without ordering more than you need.

Does Frame & Thread hair work with Combline or V-Light?

Yes, our hair works very well with both Combline & V-Light applications. Since the hair is removed from the attachment track/tip/tab when using their method, all of our types are compatible.

Is any type better for Combline and V-Light installs?

All of our hair is de-pigmented and colored before it is turned into a weft or tab so it is all exactly the same.

Our Appliqué Tips are the best way to purchase small amounts of hair that are already sectioned into single-gram strands. You would simply cut the tip from the strand as you go and use the loose hair for Combline or V-Light.

Appliqué Tips are especially nice because any unused strands can be saved for later use as K-Tips or with another Combline / V-Light install.

Which type is most cost-effective for the Combline and V-Light?

Strictly going by price per gram, our Appliqué Tips are the most cost effective option. Hand-tied wefts are a little more per gram due to labor involved in creating the hand-tied track.

Frame & Thread is not affiliated with the Combline method.
