Hand-tied changed what extensions could do: the most hidden install possible, color from track to tip, and a blend built for one client and no one else.
We sell every weft individually, so a stylist can work across multiple colors and create dimension that simply wasn’t possible before.
The Founder
It started behind the chair.
Jules had been doing extensions for twenty years — and owned two busy salons — when she became the first IBE-educated stylist in Florida, one of the first anywhere. Her clients wanted hand-tied. So did she, and so did every stylist on her floors.
Wanting it was the easy part. Wefts were rarely in stock, quality changed batch to batch, and shipping was slow. Nothing matched what was happening behind the chair.
So we made it — and tested it on our own clients for two years before we sold a single weft. Frame & Thread launched in 2020 on nothing but word of mouth, and the wefts spoke for themselves. The salons still test everything we make. Almost all of our original buyers are still with us.
We were stylists looking for hair, not a hair company looking for stylists.

This is Jules’s work: a hand-tied install with the most hidden result possible, in a blend built for one client. Because we sell every weft individually, a stylist can pull from as many colors as the look calls for.
Hand-tied is the only weft whose track takes color the same as the hair itself — so the blend can be adjusted from track to tip, not just at the ends.
Custom isn’t a feature of hand-tied. It’s the point.

Soft Slavic Hair
Ethically sourced and double drawn for root-to-end thickness.
Silicone free, cuticle-intact, naturally aligned remy hair.
Our slow de-pigmentation process maintains health and texture and provides a consistent color match from batch to batch.
Our wefts are hand-blended for dimension & deep pigmented to minimize color fade.
Thirty-one shades, every one color-matched across micro wefts, Keratin Tips, and Seamless Tabs.

The only weft that can be completely colored — track included.
Sheds less than other weft types — the hair is folded over and sewn into the track.

Ultra-long hair is a lifestyle. Anyone wearing 24″ or longer — or more than 260 grams at any length — needs an extra high level of care: brush a few times a day, detangle completely before every shampoo, a light hydrating serum twice a day, hair up loosely during heavy activity, and no swimming, even with a cap or braid. Easy to Live With
8–12 months of great hair days with proper care — here’s the short version.
- Install
- Install note: leave at least 1½″ of string — strings cut too close to the knot will let the weft unravel. The track on a hand-tied weft should never be cut; even with glue, a cut track can unravel.
- Styling
- Brush daily. Keep heat tools below 320°F.
- Aftercare
- Hydrate: a light oil daily, wash 1–2× a week, deep condition every third wash. No protein, no non-water-soluble silicone, and dry your hair before bed.
